CB Fabrications GRP cabinets, enclosures and housing are suited to both indoor and outdoor applications. Typically they are used by the rail, gas, electrical and water industries for housing control panels, electrical and gas metering, pumps and monitoring equipment. CB Fabrications GRP cabinets, housings and enclosures are non-corrosive to water and salt water. Being non-conductive our cabinets are ideal for electrical installations in public access areas. Our products do not rot or rust and are maintenance free with a long working lifespan.

Fixing down of cabinets
All cabinets should be fixed down to a concrete or steel base. A stepped base is more suitable to prevent water ingress around the base. In any event all cabinets should be well sealed once fixed down.
Construction, plywood and insulation
Manufactured from a GRP composite construction to BS 476 Part 7 Class 2 fire retardant.
All cabinets come with an 18mm plywood back board with 12mm ply in doors. CR8-CR18 will also have 12mm plywood in the roof construction. The rest of the construction is a single skin laminate.
All cabinets can have extra plywood and insulation fitted at extra cost if required.
Door locks and hinges
Yale type cylinder lock, hasp and staple for own padlock or single point locking. Stainless steel hinges.
IP Rating
IP54 standard rating. Other ratings available.
Standard colours
14-C-39 green or 10-A-07 grey. Other colours available at extra cost.
